Sydenham No. 251

Welcome to the web-site of Sydenham Preceptory No. 251, which was constituted on Friday, the 27th of April 1928, some 97 years ago.

Sydenham Preceptory No. 251. is a relatively small preceptory, but recently seen an influx of new members.

Our meetings, are held at 10 Duke St. St. James, London SW1Y 6BS. We typically dine at Davy's at St. James, in Crown Passage, Pall Mall, London SW1Y 6QY, just a few minutes walk from 10 Duke St. St. James or Mark Masons' Hall.

We utilise the Masonic Relief Chest Scheme to collect Alms and donations, use of the scheme allows knights and doners that are UK tax payers to increase donations by 25% and thereby increasing the amount accumilated for charitable causes.

Guests are always welcome, if you would like to visit, please ask a brother of the Preceptory or contact our Registrar.

Our regular meetings are held at 10 Duke St. St. James, London SW1Y 6BS on:

  • Forth Friday in April (Installation)
  • Third Friday in September
  • Third Friday in January

The headquarters and governing body of Mark Master Mason, Royal Arch Mariner. Knights Templar, Knights of Malta, Red Cross of Constantine, Royal & Select Masters, Allied Masonic Degrees, Order of the Secret Monitor, Scarlet Cord and Knights Beneficent of the Holy City orders of Freemasony in England, Wales and the Channel Islands is Mark Masons' Hall, 86 St James Street, London SW1A 1PL.

Our province is the youngest of the provincial priories in England and Wales, all of which are administered by Great Priory from Mark Masons' Hall.

There are currently 29 Preceptories in the Province, many of which can trace their origins back to the 19th Century and one is even deemed to be 'Time Immemorial', the majority of which meet at Mark Masons' Hall or 10 Duke St. St. James.
